History:
Since second half of 70’s, we have confronted with challenges to design own audio power amplifier. In the beginnings it had been attempts to improve the some characteristic of lower class amplifiers. Later on, these “corrections” had turned in to grasp of amplifier conception.
Thru past years, since 1994 when AC DC firm was formed, we have succeeded to archived and collected information, characteristics and schemes from almost every world famous and interesting audio power amplifier design solutions. Obtained experience from repairing professional, audiophile or esoteric samples, have importantly improved and refine the relations in many different design solutions, which lead to some important conclusions.
What is done?
Through thousands of hours analyzing and discussions, through hundred spend days of measurements and analyzes bought samples and after thousands invested euros on instruments; this conclusions over growth in to results and were implied in to design, three types of audio power amplifies:
- First type : high fidelity HI FI(high fidelity – with high fidelity or reproduction) uncompromising 300W-RMS (Root Mean Square – square root of squares’ average) audiophiles MOSFET (metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors) amplifier on load 8ohm , with incredible characteristic and working rate to 700kHz with in +/3dB.
- The second design is: utility HI FI (high fidelity – with high fidelity or reproduction) audio MOSFET (metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors) power amplifier for PA (public Address – systems for public sound system) applications from 1000W RMS charge of <1 Ω (typically used at 0.5 Ω); with speed (bandwidth) to: 100kHz, +/-3dB and excellent S/N ratio >92dB
- Third design, also PA linear amplifier with performances and excellent characteristic 5000W RMS @ 0,2 Ω load (500W RMS @ 8 Ω load) with possibility of wide choice of operating voltage Vcc range from +/- 25VDC to +/- 90VDC
